After graduating from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) in the 1980s, I was fortunate to have enjoyed a successful career as a graphic designer in Canada and Europe for over 25 years, specializing in corporate design. I credit my previous career for providing me with solid fundamentals and design principles, which I now use to create powerful, yet personal, abstract paintings. I continue my artistic journey by participating in various courses and workshops given by prominent contemporary painters.
I am an Associate Signature Member (AFCA) of the Federation of Canadian Artists and an Elected Member (SCA) of the Society of Canadian Artists, and my work is held in private collections throughout North America. I've conducted workshops on the intuitive process of abstract painting, written several articles on the artistic process, and have had the honour of being a featured presenter at the annual OASIS Symposium in Kelowna, BC. |
